Meet the Founder — Mahdee (MuslimAkhzOfficial)

Mahdee, known online as MuslimAkhzOfficial, is a UK-based Ruqyah practitioner and the founder of the Global Institute of Ruqyah Ash-Shar’iyyah, based in Greater Manchester. His journey into Ruqyah began through personal experience. After suffering from what he understood to be spiritual affliction, Mahdee began searching for treatment. He found that accessing regular Ruqyah could be expensive, while some practices he encountered did not align with what he understood to be the correct Islamic principles of Ruqyah. Having memorised the entire Qur’an, Mahdee decided to take responsibility for learning and practising self-Ruqyah, placing particular emphasis on recitation of the Qur’an and authentic Islamic guidance. With the help and permission of Allah, he eventually overcame the affliction that had initially led him to this field. That experience became the beginning of a much wider journey. Mahdee continued developing his knowledge through studying the subject of Ruqyah, jinn, sihr (magic) and the evil eye, attending Ruqyah sessions, undertaking courses and studying numerous books and scholarly works related to the field. From Personal Experience to Helping Others What initially began with only a small number of people approaching Mahdee for help gradually developed into something much larger. He began sharing his experiences, knowledge and practical guidance online, particularly to help people understand how to perform self-Ruqyah correctly. Under the name MuslimAkhzOfficial, his content went on to reach a growing international audience. He has produced hundreds of educational videos discussing Ruqyah, self-Ruqyah, jinn, sihr, the evil eye and related subjects, alongside developing a range of written Ruqyah guides designed to help people practise self-Ruqyah. A central part of Mahdee’s work is encouraging people not to become unnecessarily dependent upon a Raqi. Instead, he seeks to teach people how to take the means themselves through sincere worship, du'a, Qur’an and authentic Ruqyah, while recognising that all cure ultimately comes from Allah alone. The Mission Behind the Institute Through his work, Mahdee became increasingly concerned about vulnerable people being exploited, charged excessive amounts for treatment, or unknowingly seeking help from individuals using practices contrary to Islam — including those who present themselves as Raqis while engaging in practices associated with magicians and charlatans. This became one of the motivations behind establishing the Global Institute of Ruqyah Ash-Shar’iyyah. His vision is to build an international network of practitioners committed to providing Ruqyah in accordance with the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah, while educating Muslims about self-Ruqyah and helping them recognise practices that contradict Islamic teachings. What began as Mahdee’s personal journey has therefore developed into a wider mission: to make authentic Ruqyah more accessible, educate people around the world, protect vulnerable individuals from exploitation, and establish a trustworthy standard of Ruqyah Ash-Shar’iyyah — by the permission of Allah.
